Default Stock tow package receiver weight rating

I'm just curious about what the rating of JUST the Class IV receiver in the stock tow package set up is?

I've done some research, and I'm unable to find a solid answer, I've seen 10K Lbs, 12K Lbs, etc....

I know that many other factors affect the tow rating of your vehicle, and that the ball mount, and ball both have their own separate ratings. But purely for intellectual purposes, I'd like to know what the stock receiver is rated at.

Thanks to anyone with helpful info!

Should be on the original window sticker. Do you still have it? If not, search for the VIN decoder on this site and it will tell you.

I think it is 500 lbs trailer tongue wt and 1000 or 1500 lbs with a wd hitch.

I think it is rated for a 10,000 lb trailer but it likely depends on the tow or max tow or hd payload package specifications

I have a 2012 Lariat with the tow package but not the max-tow package.

There's a sticker on the bottom of the hitch itself which says:

o Without a weight-distributing setup 500# tongue weight and 5,000# trailer weight max,

o With a weight-distributing setup 1,050# tongue weight and 10,500# trailer weight

i read someplace with re: to the 13's
based on engine...

5.0 is 10500 towing ability
6.2 is 13500 towing ability
3.5 TT is 15500 towing ability

class 3 tongue is usually 300lbs i think
and class 4 is 550

Thanks for the info, I'll go look at my truck over lunch and see if there's a similar sticker.
