Im getting ready to purchase a Kenwood GPS H/U and the mastero interface as well to maintain steering wheel controls especially. For you all that have installed a GPS H/U where have you mounted the gps antenna? I've read that it can be mounted underneath the center of the dash tray and supposedly works pretty well there.

Lastly I would love a little info or wiring diagram for re-wiring the factory backup camera to the new H/U for a 2012..i understand the harness is accessed under the driver kick panel left of the parking brake. Supposedly wire color varies by year if I understand correctly?

I mounted mine under the dash just to the right of the center tray with double sided tape and it works fine.

no Maestro, but will put one in when i upgrade to a nav unit. i had this one leftover from a Mustang i sold, so used it because it was better than stock

i Have put a brand new Kenwood system myself. my information screen above the cd changer show radio and controls turned Blank the weird thing is ac and radio where still working somewhat, put the new radio in and it is still doing it. blank screen and ac keeps turning itself on and off , I swear my truck must be possessed cause some days it works some days it doesn't. after 2200 upgrading my head unit to a high end Kenwood It is still doing i put a video on may Facebook page I dont know how to load video yet

when u do to aftermarket radio you have to use the Idatalink Maestro RR or RR2, I have the big JVC KW-Z100W in my 2012 F150 Platinum, and to retrain the factory functions of the display your talking about you, did you happen to use anything to interface the new radio to the truck? its weird.... I would think it would still show fan speed and ext. temp.
