Default Steering wheel swap

Need some help. I’m trying to swap out my steering wheel with one that has the volume controls. Not sure how to go about this. I did install a pioneer AVH 1550 NEX with the harness that would allow the steering wheel controls to work if I had them lol. Wasn’t sure if it’s possible. I would appreciate any help.

Did your radio install include a module from iDatalink? Or at least Axxess? Those would be the link to allow steering wheel buttons to work.

You'll likely need the steering wheel and the clockspring at the very least to get the stereo controls to work.

I bought a new steering wheel made for the volume control switches. The switches didn't come with the wheel, Had to buy them separate.

You've already got the wheel and buttons. Chances are the current clock spring doesn't have the necessary wires. It's "possible" that it's already wired to the column so you might get away with getting a clock spring from a higher end truck.

Oh, and since you have an aftermarket deck, you're going to need a steering wheel/audio adapter for it.
