Took my truck to Jack Demmer Lincoln yesterday morning as I was instructed to do so by Linda Pizano from the Dearborn Truck Plant to resolve the knocking noise I'm hearing and feeling. The dealer is only a few miles from the plant. The dealer called me this morning and said the truck was ready. The Service Advisor stated all the vibrations felt through the steering wheel is normal, and all the knocking noises heard from my truck are normal.

Took the Service Advisor for a ride through the dealerships back lot that was rather uneven and reproduced the knock noise, and the vibration through the wheel. The Service Advisor acknowledged the noise and the vibration and said he does not think they can fix it.

Called Linda Pizano back from the Dearborn Truck Plant and left her a message with the dealers findings. She has yet to return my call. Left the dealer very dissapointed.
Called my lawyer I worked with on my 2011 F150 and am currently waiting for a return call with my legal options on this vehicle. Hate to switch from a Ford truck but after 2 lemons, I'm done.

Good luck to everyone else.

ok this is bull*****, took my 13 eco in to the dealer on mon, they called me back today and said yes they heard the clunking but could not put a 3rd rack in. They said that i basically have to live with it until there is a recall or my vin pulls something up. I said so your telling me that i have to live with a clunk in my front end on a bran new 50000 truck with 3000 miles this is bull****, im so f**kin pissed right now, i would never have got rid of my titan knowing that id have this much problems with this piece of crap. Sorry for the foul language but im at wits end. thinking of trading it in and going back to my 89 dodge ram. ive tried calling linda and showing the dealer the thread and they still said i have to deal with it till there is more of a common issue, he said if he replaces the rack again and they sent the old one back and ford said there was nothing wrong with is then it would be out of his pocket to buy the new rack.... DONE with ford never ever again... glad i leased this piece of *****. let me no how you guys are fairing out and again sorry for the language just am so frustrated

Wow they admitted its bad and wont do it??? Thats because there trying to avoid the "3 times same issue and you can lemon law" rule. I wouldnt blame ford i would blame the dealer. Go to another dealer and call Ford hotline and document the issue right away! So far After owning almost every other competitor truck this truck has been the most solid strong truck ive owned. Knock on wood. And i have a problem with buying new trucks every 2-3 years. I plan on keeping this one though. Just hope these new electric power steering racks and new little electronic controlled parts dont become an issue in the future. I too came from a Nissan Titan before this truck. That was a bulletproof truck other than one failed trans. Just couldnt do 13mpg anymore

ummm... i wouldn't blame the dealer... i would blame the hotline. the dealer can't do anything without the hotline telling them what to do because the work is billed as warranty.

the whole thing sucks, but i promise... it's not your dealer's fault.

Right now I'm getting 17-18 on winter blend gas. Was a bit better in summer. I notice although u have snappier power throttle response etc in the cold, I noticed if too cold milage suffers. I have 3.55 gearing though that helps a ton on hwy. if I'm in town hitting every stoplight I get 12-13. I have 285 tires now and loss 1-2mpg. When stock I was getting 21-22 hwy. livernoise tune helped out a ton. I'm running premium cause its only like 3-5$ more a tank, and combined with the tune I actually get better milage believe it or not. Doesn't boost any higher it just puts the power down more efficiently so you need very little power and less downshifts. IMO it's worth it just for the trans tune alone. Ford missed the mark on the trans running its horrible. Getting close to 35k miles tuned

Right on, I'm runnin the same gears as u, with sct tuner and love that tuner with 91, and 34" tires and I'm gettin 14mph on my Eco. It's only got 3600 so maybe it needs to break in. Other than the front end noise and mph, I'm havin I love the truck
