Default Steering wheel controls help!!!

So a few days ago my radio started acting up it would turn on then off turn on then off no sound and in all functions it would turn on two or three seconds the shut off then come back on then shut off etc etc.

Soo I replaced the head unit the dealership told me it was bad. Now my radio works but my steering wheel volume seek and media control buttons no longer work. It is the same radio model number and everything is installed as I removed the orignal.

My question is has this ever happened to any of you if so howd you fix it. And does anyone have any input on things to try. Thanks in advance for your help guys

You are talking a stock unit and not aftermarket? I would double check the wiring, it could be anything from wiring not being tight for the controls to a fuse to another defective unit. Hopefully a few more knowledgable guys come in and can help out more.

Whelp! According to IDS, there is an ...
  • Accessory Protocal Interface Module (APIM - stereo in pass-through)
  • Audio Control Module (ACM)
That could be (?) related.
