A couple of years ago I bought and installed a set of Steelcraft nerf bars. Recently, I noticed that I must have hit something, maybe high centered the truck and bent the brackets back so that the drivers side nerf bar is much closer to the cab of the truck.

I contacted Autoanything and inquired about buying a set of replacement brackets since I bought the nerf bars from them. They referred me to Steelcraft.

Steelcraft replied to my e-mail very quickly, but they said no replacement brackets are available. WTF? Really? I'm really disappointed. I never thought they would NOT have parts available.

Keep this in mind if you ever consider buying nerf bars.

 

I've never heard of steelcraft. Just an FYI, lots of companies do this. They don't stock any extra parts. It sucks but they want you to buy new.

I needed a screw for a Mic on my King radio and when I called king they said they didn't have any. How in the hell can you not have a spare screw? Its just the way they run their business....
