Default Squeaking noise when I stop and take off.

I have a 2011 ecoboost xlt 4x4. Recently, all the sudden it started making a squeaking (low pitched), when I come to a stop at the very end. It's quick and short lived. It also does it when I turn it seems and when I take off if only for a second. I go to the car wash like once a week at least. Have had the truck for like 2 months.

Anyone experience this?

Could be your leafsprings. Mine squeaked, I grease them about once every 6 months and haven't heard the squeak since. Grease in between the top two leafsprings towards the end. You'll see a spacer in between them in this location and this is where you want to grease at.

That makes sense. I know it's not the brakes because it does it at low speed when I take off, turn, but mostly stop. This to me says weight transfer..and the leaf springs (those are all the metal straps bound together by the wheels correct?), would be affected by this as the sound is resonating through the frame.

Interesting note, the sound damn near sounds like it's coming from in the cabin, under the dashboard, almost middle of nowhere.

I would be willing to bet, the undercarriage water blasters at the car wash are washing and blowing grease out their spots.

I would not grease the leafs at all. Once you do that, they will squeak forever

PB Blaster if you don't use it like a truck. Or carry a load in it and it will work the leaf springs which will eliminate the squeak.

I know I've read where petroleum will eat rubber over time, but when my trucks start to look old.. I find a dirt area and spray the living hell over every thing underneath, with a heavy lubricant.
Forgive me mother earth for some of the drips. Before the cross members under the bed had holes, I would fill them with used motor oil in a squirt can. I covered my leafs with used oil as well.
Whether some may disagree with this, all I can say is the
last two 150,000 mile trucks were completely rust free, and the undercarriage looked new. Most important to his thread nothing creaked, or squeaked.

Not true. Mine have not squeaked since I first did mine. I just do it twice a year for peace of mind.
