Just an observation the dealer tried to mark up the price on my Line-X liner when I bought the truck so I got done after the purchase and saved a few bucks. Glad I declined at the time of sale since I hadn't priced it out.

Can I ask why? I just had Rhino Liner put in mine. There aren't any other options in my neck of the woods. Cost $450.

I have had 3 different brands including Rhino....Line-X is by far the best I had, Rhino being the worse.

I currently have Line-X on mine and I love it. In a past life - when I owned a Dodge Dakota, I got Rhino. The Rhino wasn't an even coat and the vertical surfaces seemed to run... looked pretty bad - again, on the vertical surfaces.

IMHO, I think Line-X is far superior.

The only reson I hated mine was it was more rubberized and after a few years it stArted to come apart in chunks

Oh yea... I forgot about that. Mine also started to break off in chunks too.

I have had line-x in two trucks, a Dodge Dakota and now in my F-150. It is hands down the best item I have ever purchased for either truck. I think it was around 450 on both trucks (that seems to be the going rate). It did start coming off on the tailgate in a few spots on the Dakota after 8 years. I took it back to the installer and he pulled the tailgate off and had it back to me by the end of the day. No questions asked and no dollars exchanged just a couple of hand shakes. The truck and bed is now owned by my sister and the liner is now 12 years old and faded but still intact.

Cool, thanks for the insight! The local shop here does Rhino, but there is a Line-X dealer in Medicine Hat- figure I'll hit them up when I take my wife shopping there- that way I can't cause a scene in the mall!

If your ever close to Red Deer AB, where the head office for Canada is, I'd go there, also there are two (I think) in Winnipeg. I used to work for Line-X here in Kingston....it's a great product. Works good because it gets baked onto the truck bed at over 250 degrees. I had to remove that Rhino crap off of one guys truck so that he could get it Line-X'd....the Rhino was all rubbery and there were large pieces already missing. It's a real pain in the butt to remove! It might cost you $450 but, it comes with a life time warranty. My Chevy truck was done. I even had both front and rear bumpers as well as my rock sliders on my 4Runner Line-X'd and, my wooden storage unit in the back....it's bullet proof! I've got the pictures if you want to see them.

I have no problems paying for a good quality product. How long does it have to bake for? Is the box removed in the process?
