i will tell you how i got mine. planet recommended a bedliner and said they could do it for $325. i told them, go ahead and install it, make sure its line-x and i want the uv protectant. mine has a line-x sticker in it for warranty info.

Guess I'll be the black sheep here and say Rhino-Liner. I looked at Line-x but was not impressed with the local dealer around here, the Rhino dealer was far superior in accessories and shop cleanliness/space. Rhino now has the nationwide/unlimited warranty. They also have a couple different grades (similar to Line-x) that their website reviews in depth. Price was about the same, and they did a great job of removing my cargo management tracks and spraying behind them (without messing up the bed rails).

I'm sure both are great and the Line-x may have a better finish too it than the Rhino, but be sure to check out the installers and shops where you plan to have the work done. Thats what made the difference for me.

I have sprayed all my trucks myself... I have been very impressed with the stuff and I am super critical....
the f150
my f600 4 x 4 firetruck
the f600 (f900 late model cummins chassis) service truck
and my dodge 2500 cummins 4 x 4 (how did that sneak in there)

I used a product called LinerXtreme (http://sprayonbedliners.info/ )based out of texas.. 180.00 direct sale.. gives you 3 gallons of mix which easily does a shortbed and usually does a longbed.. they will color match for you and have about 15 stock colors.. I suggest the darker colors. Service has always been very fast.. I direct Paypal them... they have dealers selling on ebay but why not go to the source

It uses a texture gun with a large tip.. harbor freight sells them cheap.. and it takes about 20.00 for tape and plastic to cover the truck carefully and a couple of hours of time to do it right and be careful

Ive had several trucks in severe duty for a couple of years and the stuff is bulletproof.. use the fine rubber mix.. the heavy crumb is too severe for most use

Im going to spray the f150 lower panels, the front light bar, and maybe even the bumpers in medium gray.. I rate this stuff a 10 and nothing like any of the other owner applied coatings out there...

Even a sandblaster doesn't tough this stuff.. its permanent.. even the over spray from several years ago on my concrete in front of the shop is still going strong after being driven on and pressure washed many many times

I have no affiliation with this product in anyway.. just my honest opinion...

Alot. they have to grind down/sand all the paint in order for it to adhere. I watched them do mine and it took 1.75 hours of prep, and .30 hrs to spray.
