I snagged a set of SP550's, haven't installed them. They come gapped at .028 (ended up being way cheaper than 534's too).

Anyone else tried these?

I agree, I have read a lot of ecoboost spark plug threads and a lot of tuning threads on a lot of different forums and have only heard .028-.030 for tunes. Checked MPT and 5star and that is also what they recommend for their tunes.

Bronson, please explain (or give us links) to where we can look at this info. It isn't that I don't trust you, I just don't want a bad running engine and I trust the people that I have purchased tunes from a little more without more knowledge first.

UMJonny, I plan on using the sp550's next plug change, let us know if everything works with those! They are new with the new ecoboost generation and I haven't seen any reports of how they perform.

Guys. I had 3 guys on another forum try it and it took away all their shudder and rough idles and misfires. So I tried and it tookaway all my problems. That' really all I can say. I asked torrie at unleashed and he said try it. And my truck loves it. I cant' complain at all. All I really can say is try it.

It's just hard for people to except the " hey go try this because I read it over here" philosophy when you have nothing for them to read. It's one thing if you had links or articles or some other information. If it works awesome. I personally want some hard evidence before I go spend the money and time trying it.

Who came up with the idea and why? What did those plugs normally fit? Who is Tori at Unleashed?

My 2017 came with SP550's. The only difference is the 534's come gapped @ .030 and the SP550's come gapped @ .028

Okay. For those of us without a tuned Ecoboost and got lost in the discussion above...

It seems that the gap is generally agreed upon at .030.

So is it the 534 or 542?

That is where I got lost

SP534's gapped at .030 is the recommended plug and gap around here.
