Default Sound System

I have a 2009 F150 STX Extended Cab and would like to know if the factory head unit is capable of having an Amp hooked up to it. I am looking to upgrade the sound system and havent decided on a head unit yet but have an amp and subwoofer in mind as well as replacing the front and rear door speakers. So I was wondering if I can replace/install all this with the factory head unit until I can make a decision on which one I want. Any suggestions on speakers/head units would be greatly appreciated and thanks for the help and suggestions

LOC = Line Out Converter. Some new people to audio are not gonna know what LOC means unless you spell it out.

i am in the planning stages of installing a aftermarket sub. i plan on building an enclosure and placing it behind the center console to minimize taking up of space on the floor. i bought a LOC(line out converter) from PAC Audio, ( http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=28 ). I searched for it on the web and found it cheaper. now the task is to find an amp and sub that will fit in the space i plan to use.
i will place some factory wiring diagrams when i can get them scanned. they are for 09 F150.

Default Other locations for sub/amp?

Just bought a new '10 STX 4x4 supercab, and the audio system is garbage!
I have already installed new speakers, but they only help a little. I want to do a component system with woofers where the original speakers are, tweeters located high up on the door panels, and an amp and sub somewhere. I have TONS of room in my center console (bucket seats) has anyone tried installing an amp and sub in there? If not, any good ideas?
(I have SYNC, and would like to keep it)

Default factory component?

On some of the higher-end 150's, is there an option to get component audio from the factory? I would love to get some of the stock tweeter bezels/enclosures (if they exist). Anyone have pictures?
