Default Sooo...i tried Wipe New

First off, i don't want your opinion on what i should've used. And i definitely do not care what the pros use.

If you feel the need to post something negative, or bash me for using this stuff, save it. Move on.

I work on cars/these trucks every day, so low maintenance stuff for my vehicles is appealing to me. I simply walked by this stuff in Fleet Farm, and decided to try it. We've all seen the commercials, so i gave it a go.

First thing i did was go online and check out all the reviews. Found a **** ton of negative reviews on it...however allot of the reviews were ragging on the ordering process, and not Wipe New's actual capabilities, because most of the reviewers never actually used the product. Numerous comments from people, on these articles said, (I'm paraphrasing here) "this reviewer is high...this stuff is amazing."

So i went with those comments. And as much as i hate to say this...this stuff works...period.

I tested it on 1/2 of my side step about a month and a half ago. This has been thru about a week of rain, couple of snow flurries, with salted roads, and temps down to 5°f and about 1500 miles of driving.

It's clearly still deep black vs the rest of the step. Also water now beads up on it, like wax.

Washed/dried(in the garage)

Did the whole step here...

... and then the rest of the truck. Which i do not have before and after pics of, because of forgetful failure on my part. Apologies for that. No point in taking pics now, as there's nothing to compare to.

Nice to know that you like this stuff. We HAVE all seen (and seen!) the commercials for it.
Let us know if it continues to hold up through the winter. My running boards take a beating from the winter roads. It would be nice to have the plastic on them nice and black again in the spring.

Thanks for the review. I was wondering if it was any good but I didn't want to be the guinea pig.

Never heard of the stuff. What is it? Is it like Armor All? Your step cover looks better though. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it.
