Default Sony 700watt subwoofer

I just found a guy in my area selling a Factor Sony 700 watt subwoofer with amp out of an F150 for $100. Does anyone know if my xlt is pre wired for that or do I have to run new wires? I am thinking if it is just plug and play I will do it but if I have to run wires I will just go with aftermarket stuff.

I don't think the wires are there for simple plug and play operation unless you got the premium sound package. Also, while the little Sony sub sounds decent, it is not any where near 700 watts. That guy is an idiot. The Sony Premium system is 700 watts total (and probably 700 max 300 RMS knowing how Sony rates their speakers). The sub itself is either 120 or 60 watts, probably the latter judging by how much air it moves.

It's still not a terrible deal, but if my truck hadn't come with the sub I certainly wouldn't be installing it unless I got it for free. You will probably be happier with something like this...

I've heard them, they work pretty darn good, although I cannot confirm if they will or will not fit under the seat like the little Sony does, but you get the idea.

How did you wire the aftermarket amp to your factory head unit?
