Something Interesting!
I got some rims for my 2014 F150. The stock wheels were a +44mm offset and the ones I got are +20mm offset. I wanted them to stick out just a bit and it worked out perfect. A day or so after I got them put on I noticed the passenger side wheels were sticking out a tad bit further than the drivers side. Probably not that noticeable to most folks but I have some OCD issues and I noticed it. So the guy that put them on for me is a good friend of mine and he works in the shop at the Ford dealership, so I give him a call and he said bring it by, and he would check everything out. So today I went by for him to look it over. He got it in the shop and started measuring everything and sure enough the passenger side did stick out about 3/8 to a half inch more than the other side. So he dug deeper with the measuring and come to find out the body of the truck is off center with the frame. So out of curiosity he pulled in his truck which is a 2012 and done the same measurements, and you guessed it, got the same results. That body was not centered either. So he wanted to carry it further so he pulled in a 2017 and a 2018 and sure enough, they were all off center by the same measurement.
Very odd I thought. As long as the wheels and tires stay tucked under the fender it would never be noticed. Makes me wonder why Ford does this? Sorry for the long post I just thought it was odd.

That was my thought but I was curious to why so many different models we checked were all off by the same measurement. There must be a reason for them to be off set.
I also thought I could get 1/4 inch spacers to put on the one side and push the wheel out to match the other side.
