When some roads still had ice I would drive around in 4hi. But sometimes when I would turn all the way there would be a jerking when turning on a portion of the road that wasn't icy. What could driving on dry road in 4hi likely damage?

You would have to do a lot of driving in 4hi on dry roads to damage the system. Its harder on your tires than anything.

yeah the tires were eating. As long as you don't do it daily I doubt it is an issue.

I had to use 4wd to get out of my driveway onto the street. Street dry as a popcorn fart, driveway an ice capade. Mine makes the same noise as the fronts eat and the back slip.

It should make that sound.
