There is some seal/gasket missing or not properly installed. Sorry you find offense to the truth, its the little things that they do better than us. Like it or not its the facts. I agree. QC matters obviously. I'm not bashing ford but maybe they could update the seals, cause I get quite a bit of road noise in the cabin, and now I see this about water leaking in, that shouldn't happen. I figure that the seals/windows/doors are the reason for the loud wind noise I hear inside the truck as well, other than that one problem I love my ford truck and I have a feeling the 2014 or maybe 2015 F-150 will be updated in this area.

I never worried about the little bit coming in because I've learned that to be "normal".. I'll be going in to the dealer for a oil change in the next month or so and will bring it up. Truck is silent inside, almost can't believe how quiet, it just when the high pressure stream hits it at the right angle my seats get shampooed. This was he worst it had ever been though which is why I posted to see if anyone had had an issue with the window and found a fix.

Robert, enough water pressure could definetly penetrate the seal and maybe alittle water could get in as the truck ages and the seals get old and start to dry out but darn,,your talking a gusher thru your back window. There is definetly a seal, gasket missing,,good luck and hope you get it fixed!! Stay dry!

You should have bought a Japanese vehicle.. I watched a 30 second video of an American worker at one plant on one day and he was talking and laughing.. I watched a 45 second video of a Japanese worker.. He was working and not talking.. That's why Honda vehicles never have leaks or problems.. Facts.

Oh they have problems, both my daughters can attest to that. LOL.

bruce, where were your Honda's built?

I'd say that generally speaking, the decline in good ole work ethic has gone down the tubes in the past decade, maybe more.

Might be due to many things: crazy wars, fear of losing jobs, wage stagnation, economic collapse - probably a combination of them. But people just don't seem to care about doing a good job anymore. And I know where you're going with the "where's your Honda made?" one. Right to work states are like that, perhaps in combination with management style. Right to work for less is closer to what it actually is, though. Always in states with poor demographics, eager to work for any job there is, afraid to get fired.

terraformer, The decline in worker pride and qc is where I was going. I don't care if it is union or not. There are many issues that can be discussed but as the old saying goes..Things aren't built like they used to be.. Honda's aren't the Honda's of old,, they got there issues just like Toyotas and the like. With the money all companies charge for there products, it would sure be nice to deliver on the promise not just fancy ads and commercials to dupe customers. Sort of like the pic a guy posted showing Sam Elliott getting in his Chevy truck and he's the voice of Ram trucks!! That's America today,, sad but true.

The rear slider usually let's a little water in but not a ton. Had some bird droppings conveniently left on the sliding window ledge and the guy gave it a little extra spray down. Well, the pic will do the talking, but the spray hit the passenger door panel. Any way to tighten the back window seal up?

You get your truck washed a ton, all that high pressure water probably caused a seal to loosen overtime.

You can see a lack of quality workmanship and customer service in just about every aspect of our lives. I shouldn't have to buy a BMW to expect a qualty product, I shouldn't have to go to a 5 star restuarant to get my meal right. There is a different mentality out there than when a lot of us were growing up. The only power we really have is in our wallets, don't like the product or the service, don't flipping spend any money there.
