Maybe I have missed this, are all the people with noisy fans have Ecoboost engines?

Default It's all Fan

Problem is that it's all fan and nothing else when it's running. Happens on most F150 5.0 and Eco's built on or after June 2013. I have to turn my off at the band window so I can hear the teller. And sitting and waiting to hear the teller when on concrete at 106 is really nasty for your clothes.

But seriously, I don't hear anything in my truck and it cools very well.

Mid-year manufactured 5.0 or Eco-Boost. I test drove one made before the change and the test truck was fine. Then when they delivered mine - the hidden bomb went off. Bait and switch by Ford - The dealer had no idea hat was going on. My dealer's GM is unhappy about his also.

When ambient temp outside is about 93 or above, a/c fan kicks into high speed and stays on because of high head pressure on the a/c compressor. The problem is that it sometimes never goes off while you are driving. It's loud and presents a hazard because of the noise and the potential fire hazard it presents by overheating the fan motor. Ford tells me they put out a bulletin on the matter that basically says this is the new normal. I told them it's a hazard and an unacceptable fix. Please help me to resolve this issue with ford to fix the matter rather to to put a band-aid on it!

Default "Improvements"

As the OP on this I caught some flack from posters that thought it was a great improvement to the AC cooling......

I had until recently a 2011EB and in the Phoenix heat I NEVER had an AC problem.....then took delivery of our 2013 and this awful engineering attempt to probably overcome a basic problem with the AC by spinning the fans on MAX greeted me....the dealers cannot help and although I tried to contact someone in Ford Engineering.....LOL....what a joke.....and yes, I know they should focus on the intercooler issue as well.....but this is such a SIMPLE thing to fix without hurting our AC performance.....oh well.....maybe someone will finally wake up and notice this is not necessary and, if something is needed, keeping fans at max is not a good solution either....IMHO

I am having the same issue... Mine was built in mid Sept. Anyone know if Ford updated the temperature they turn on at? Makes no since why they are running at 55 - 60 degrees amb temp.

You obviously did not take the time nor effort to read HOW they come on (full blast) and stay on even when at 70mph....the engineering behind this "fix" is mindless and unsophisticated...why not use variable speeds vs. full spin...nope, you are right it is madness.....BTW do you own an EB or live in areas where it gets over 100!? Sounds like you must not....
Try this.....instead of setting your AC or heater for a comfortable temp, dial it to MAX 65 or 85 temp and full fan and LEAVE it there....then you might get the picture.....on or off, nothing in between....

I noticed mine were coming on loudly about 2 weeks ago. Sounds like they're going to explode. .. lol. I drive an 18 wheeler and it sounds loud like a fan on a tractor. Dealer said it was normal. However a coworker just bought one a week ago and complained about his fans and they put new ones and reprogrammed it. He said it's not loud anymore.
