Default So apparently you can't "play artist ---" when using bluetooth audio?

Last night I was driving and I didn't have my iPod hooked but I wanted to listen to my music on my iPhone, and I hook it up, press the button, say "play artist suchandsuch" and i get a negative tone. Are there only basic commands available when using something like an iPhone connected via bluetooth? I'm pretty sure I indexed the music before I tried this...

No, I don't believe it's possible right now. Sync and the iPhone don't fully play nice together yet, you get some functionality, but not all that it could be. I'd like to blame it on Apple, but I think the Sync system is to blame for this one. We got my wife a '12 Mercedes C300 and the iPhone works nicely with it. Hooked up through Bluetooth, her music titles and artists show on the car entertainment screen. I also noticed the other day that while streaming Pandora through Bluetooth the song title and artists also were being shown on the car screen. I have the Gen1 Sync & Nav in my '12 F150 and I'm hoping for some sort of update to the system that will allow a little more functionality with the iPhone Bluetooth. I still like my F150 better than the C300 though!

Correct, while in bluetooth mode on the iphone you can't use voice commands since the music is not indexed.

Who is the band "suchandsuch" and what do they sing? Are they good? J/k

My truck plays music as listed in my iphone. So if it gets to the end it wont reset nor can I go back on any of the truck controls but if I use my phone and start at the beginning of my playlist it will start over and be controlled by the truck controls.

OK, here's another puzzling situation related to this: my iPod hooked up via USB doesn't display album art on the MFT screen. It's fully indexed and everything too. Any tips to have the album art show up?
