Default Smartphone dash mounts

Does anybody have any experience with these? I have an iPhone 6s and would like to have it mounted on the dash of my truck. (I have the 8" screen, MFT).

Pros? Cons? Vent mount? CD slot mount? (this makes most sense to me as I don't use the CD player and rarely do I use the hazards, cd eject button or 9 buttons below it).

Pro Clip USA is what I have used in all of my vehicles. I have the dash mount right now on my truck and put my 6sPlus landscape. Doesn't block the view out the windshield at all and it is easily accessible. Love it.

x2

I just got the one that clips over that little cubby on that passenger side and it's great. Holds a 2-way just fine spa phone should be no problem.

Here is my setup. I bought this Steelie Car Mount Kit from
Amazon.com: Nite Ize STCK-11-R8 Steelie Car Mount Kit for Cellphones - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories Amazon.com: Nite Ize STCK-11-R8 Steelie Car Mount Kit for Cellphones - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories
. Then I made a little L bracket out of some scrap metal, and unscrewed the left top radio mount screw and replaced it with a longer screw and drilled a hole through the L bracket and then screwed the bracket to the top of the radio. Then I mounted the steelie mount to the bracket. I stuck the other half of the mount to my otterbox case. It holds perfect even through the summer heat. I have no interference from the magnet either.

For the rest of the install I ran my USB charging cable under the trim piece to the left of the nav unit down to the cavity behind the trim piece under the sync logo. Then I bought this USB Connector Adapter Car Charger 12V to 5V from
Amazon.com: DROK® High Conversion Efficiency Power Converter Step-down A type Female USB Max 3A/15W Output USB Connector Adapter Car Charger 12V to 5V For iPhone/HTC/Nokia: Automotive Amazon.com: DROK® High Conversion Efficiency Power Converter Step-down A type Female USB Max 3A/15W Output USB Connector Adapter Car Charger 12V to 5V For iPhone/HTC/Nokia: Automotive
. Then I wired that into the cigarette lighter, plugged in my USB cable and stuffed it all in the cavity behind the trim piece. The entire system works perfectly and is nice and clean. I took the pictures with my phone which is why you only see the case, but I think you can get the idea of what it looks like.

That's a great idea for the bracket!

I have my steelie just under the TBC or cubby if you don't have TBC.

The pro clips looks cool but I don't always put my phone in holder so I like the steelie because it's so minimal when phone isn't mounted.

Bonus is that the magnet on phone will attach to any metal surface so it's handy for several application outside of truck.

I was under truck following YouTube video when installing something and just attached it to metal and dint have to hold it while watching.

the steelie mount is awesome, best part, i can stick my phone to just about any metal surface, at work, the control room of the plant is steel, stick it there while charging, then out in my loader, the ROPS is built internal in the cab, providing me with a nice metal surface to mount my phone on while operating, and it's always in view so I can see a txt from the boss, or put it on speaker for handsfree use.
