I can at least tell you the number of Mcgaughy owners outweigh the Skyjackers on here by a lot.

I had a subframe lift from skyjacker on my previous truck. It was missing a few random bolts when it came in but it was a structurally sound kit. I had the truck for 3 years with no issues. I cant speak for the the kit for the f150 because I had a different truck.

Both are very good quality. just look at what comes with each kit and compare the little extras (depending on the skyjacker kit) and see if the differences matter to you vs the costs. I think either will make you very happy. it's just the little differences and the cost that will make the difference.

Procomp is usually ok, but nothing great.... as a whole I'm not a fan of the company. no experience with readylift though.

Pro Comp is meh, they are median of the road for quality.
Ready Lift? Meh as well. Not the best but definitely not the worst.

How so? How is a nose-high lift with blocks better?

Preference. Skyjackers components (IMO) aren't as strong as say Rancho, BDS/Zone or McGaughys.

Skyjacker does use new leaf springs instead of blocks so that's a plus.
