You can definitely run them bare if you'd like, coating them would be more for aesthetics on the aluminum skids

I have a ranch hand front bumper. Will your plate still mount up ok?

Yep the skid plates should have no issues with a Ranch Hand or really any other bumper.

Thank you for the reply! i did take a look at your site and saw the pics. Looks like it’s bolted on the sides. Do I have to remove my tow hooks for install? I couldn’t really tell exactly where it’s bolted to

Just picked up a set of these off eBay. Ford OEM for $55! ($100 delivered).I dont need armor on the bottom of my truck just something thats better then the cardboard it came with.
