Default Sirius radio suddenly charging my CC WTF!

Last summer I had a phone call from Sirius radio and they talked me into buying 6 months of sat radio. When I drove my truck after that half my channels were missing. A week later I lost all service. I said F* it, I don't care because half my channels were missing anyway. I accidently hit my sirius button last month and still have not channels which was the norm when I would have passengers try it.

Over a year goes by from the last time I had service and suddenly my credit card was charged almost $100 for service. I was so shocked I yelled out loud. I get in my truck and sure enough it works now but with channels still missing! What The F***! They never called me and I didn't authorize this charge.

To top it off my credit card number was changed over the summer because of fraudulent activity, so how the heck did they charge my card?

Anyone else have this? I feel like I'm going to scream at the innocent person who answers the phone when I call so I came here first to try and calm down about it. Any suggestions beyond hoping they will refund me or filing a fraud claim with my credit card?

Well. That sux. I feel for you man! First off, ask them did they have authority from you to charge your acct. more than one time? Every time I renew my sub., I always make sure to say that they only have authorization to make a one time charge in the set amount. If you don't say that that, if you just say yes, you have the authorization to charge my card, they keep the info on file, and will use it to charge when your contract is up. As far as them knowing the acct. info even though you were issued a new card, I'm not sure? Worse case scenario, you dispute the charges with your CC company. Hope this helps! :-)
Oh and FWIW, they did this to me one time, but b/c I didn't give them the authority to charge my card, they sent me a bill in the mail. When I called to end sub. and cancel, they pro-rated it for the few days it was under a new contract and then to keep my business, they gave the same promotional for an additional 6 months, and then they did it again just a few days ago, but even a bit cheaper at 70% off, for 24.99 for 6 months. So, maybe you can renew for cheap and they can credit your acct., so it may go just a smudge longer than the 6 months, or whatever the contract term is.

You have auto renew. You can't get the deal price and not have auto renew, is impossible. Best thing is to set a reminder in your phone calender and call them the day before it renews and cancel, they will give you the deal again.
