I wanna get another set of focals. I bought a brand new set off my tenant, he paid 800 and sold them to me for 300. They sound absolutely amazing. I think they're a 165 something, what did your 570's run you?

Let me know what kind of difference they make. I have been thinking about these and was going to offer the ebay seller $250 for two sets of them today but just can't pull the trigger. Others have mentioned installing Rockford Fosgate Prime R1682's and really liked them, and they can be bought on ebay for $40/pair. ( A lot cheaper than the sr80's!)

Also, dtaylor do you have the upgraded sony nav unit in ur trk? That is what I will be upgrading.

Is it worth it to put some dynamat type sound deadening around the speaker holes while in there?

I tried offering him $220 for them and he wouldn't take it. The biggest reason I paid the extra money for these over other speakers was the housings and material used. Pull up some pictures of them. There very nice units. And if I want to add a amp later they should really rock..

I have the Sony upgrade system. It's loud enough for me. It just flat sounding.

I've heard great reviews from putting a set of components in the factory component locations. Just disregard the crossover that comes with the new speakers and run off factory amp. Then put a coax set in the rear doors. Mine will be here Thursday and that's my plan. I'll post pics/results in the stereo section of the forum.

For anyone interested - it appears they are back in-stock at Crutchfield.

The oem front is in fact a component without a crossover the door is a single way mid base, the tweeter as we all know is on the a pillar. The rears are 2 way .
