Default Side steps

I'm running 35s with a rancho quick lift and my lariat didn't come with running boards. But I need to get my hands on some would like all black. Wife's pregnant and needs them to help get in it

Anyone know how to remove the steps? Or point me to a thread where someone has can't seem to find one

As much as I like the convenience, and saving the wear on my seat, getting out. Our trucks look so much cleaner and taller, with them off.
Retractable's are the way to go, for sure.
