Shutter at take off Must read this......!!!
I stoped at local dealership today and found there are 2 TSB Bulletins on this issue.
1) TBS 09-22-12
2) TBS 15-0114
This is for the 9.75 traction lock rear axle
15-0114 calls for axle vent service kit and a clutch Pack replacement kit part # 9L3Z -4947-D
vent kit part # EL3Z-4A058-A
TBS 09-22-12
This Buletin is for 7 lug wheels
there are several shim kits to correct pinion angle and more shims for the center bearing for a two piece drive shaft. I guess I will shell out the money to fix my truck but let me say I am irritated .

Gotcha, two threads right on top of each other isn’t the way to do it. Maybe 2-3 different forums?
do you want to help us? Add some info like why they didn’t do the work? What year and trim is you truck? How many miles? Things like that.

NoreignsF150
TSB 09-22-12 - SHUDDER/VIBRATION ON MODERATE TO HARD ACCELERATION
- Some 2009-2010 F-150 vehicles may exhibit shudder/vibration on moderate to hard acceleration.
TSB 15-0114 - 9.75 TRACTION-LOK REAR AXLE - CHATTER/SHUDDER/VIBRATION ON SLOW TURNS - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 3/5/2012
- Some 2009-2012 F-150 vehicles built on or before 3/5/2012 equipped with a 9.75 traction-lok rear axle assembly may exhibit a shudder, chatter and/or vibration during slow, tight turns. This concern may be more noticeable after cold startup and less noticeable once the rear axle fluid warms up.
It should be noted that both of these issues would have been covered by a new vehicle warranty, HOWEVER, given that your F-150 is a 2010 (mileage unknown), it wasn't.
Given that it's 8 years old, with unknown - mileage, use, maintenance, etc., and that the issue is/has been experienced by some .....
It's got wheels. It's mechanical.
Where's the beef?.
.
My truck has 163, 000 miles I drive between 30 and 40,000 a year so I have had a lot of vehicles and this is the first with a faulty rear axle so where I come from it is poor workmanship.
The thread on this forum discussing axle wrap and or poor alignment of the pinion is not consumer issues it is poor workmanship.
The beef is in the meat department

how many times have you changed the fluid, things wear out. My 2005 Tacoma 4wd with limited slip the clutches started binding and yes I changed it out the fluid and added the ls additive. soldi t after 8 years and was still doing it on right hand turns but would still lock up. I guess that is why Ford went with ELD,

The battery in my electric toothbrush doesn’t last as long now that I’ve used it twice a day for 3 years. Poor workmanship, there as well?
