Page 1 of my build thread in my signature has some close ups of the painted trim on the tails. I did mine in paint to match but I don't recommend it unless its black because there are some spots that are very hard to reach and are not even against the black interior of the tails. You can't tell with the black but other colors would be very noticeable. I used a very small flat-head screwdriver instead of a razor. I found it easier to control and got less cuts in both me and the tail light. Good luck with them. They take a lot of time but are well worth it.

Thanks. It takes a lot of time but it still looks good after all this time. The only parts that are not holding up well are the mirror caps and the turn signal inserts on the mirrors. Hitting stuff from the road like they do has degraded their finish. No chips or flakes, just a dulling effect on the clear top coat. I blame the clear coat and will use a different one if I redo them.

There's two things. First is, that I love my current truck. I love the looks, I love the power.
I like it more than the new body so much, that the bump in horses for the current 302 doesn't even faze me.
Secondly is of course the money. I'm in a nice comfortable position financially, with mine.
But.... it only has 37,000 miles on it and it'll never be worth more than it is right now.... and like we're hoping, I feel that the new engine/trans combination will be too much to resist. I also like the subtle refreshing touches on the exterior for 18. It's what that front end needed, I think anyways.
So very very, tempting....
Not sure how good the source is but looks like the gains are ok as I will be going from a 14 to an 18.

I'd be happy with 400 ponies and (almost) 400 ft lbs.
