Default Show current gear in dash screen

When I first bought my 2013 F-150 XLT, it showed the gear on at least one (and I think multiple) screens. Now it does.

It was on the far-right side of this screen:

How do I get it back? It sure was handy when climbing taller mountains to know when my transmission had dropped back into 1st or 2nd gear before giving it more gas...

Did you know you can lock out gears this way as well? If you keep pushing the "-" on the shifter you will see those gears dissapear one at a time. This will only let the trans go to the highest number shown. Very handy for towing when you dont want it gear searching. Push the "+" button to get them back.

Knew this. But its funny as they have tow/haul for towing but I like using it sometimes in normal driving just to be in the power band a lil more for fun.

Wish the gears would show all the time and not only after pushing the + button. Even if they stayed on until the ignition was turned off it would be good. It has to be set again if transmission is shifted into reverse or neutral.

my gear indicator stays on ... only if you push the top button on gear shifter will it disappear for me... push the lower button (-) to have the dash indicators on all the time... one push of the (-) button will show gears in dash... two pushes will lock in 5th gear (it can downshift but will never shift into 6th) 3 pushes locks it into 4th... etc etc
