Should I upgrade
Towed 2 hours through the mountains last night, trailer fully loaded (probably overloaded) with water tanks full and all camping gear expecting to dry camp. Ended up finding a full hookups state park, but anyway I did allot of pulling off in the slow vehicle turnouts on the way up. Used 2nd gear for about thirty seconds as we slowed below 40mph on the steepest Hill. Pulled the rest of the way in 3rd and 4th. I'd hate to think what it would have been like with Max tow weight of 8k pounds behind me.
I was passed by several ecoboost trucks with trailers and thought I really wished I'd have worked a deal on Friday for that truck. I told them before I left that I was gonna pass unless they would lower the price another 3k so we'll see what they say after the weekend if they really want to move it. Payload would be close because I'd like to throw my atv in the bed. My camping neighbor in the campground said he pulls his 31ft trailer with atv in the bed through the mountains with ease with ecoboost and 3.55 gears.

Then hook it to a 250, and you'll see the difference.
ecoboost all the way the turbos help with elevation and the motor doesn't starve for air I personally have a platinum 6.2 with a 5 star 91 perf tune on it. I pulled my buddies tow hauler like a champ. she towed like a mother ******. torque wins races man and 3.73 gears are the ticket
