Should I lift my Limited...?
Howdy folks! I'm looking for advice/opinions.
I think my F150 Limited looks sweet as is... it's a great looking "street" truck. And let's be honest, I drive it on the street 99.99% of the time. And I really do like the 22" polished wheels on the truck. They were part of what drew me to the Limited (in addition to the red seats, painted bumpers and grill surround).
But I sometimes wish I could give the truck a slightly more aggressive stance, with more aggressive tires. Plus, I hear the Pirellis are terrible when the weather comes. Here in Portland we get lots of rain and the occasional ice/snow storm.
Two scenarios I'm considering.
Obviously, I'm leaning towards the Option 1 due to money and the fact that it keeps a stock like appearance (remember, I mentioned that I like that look), but...
Who doesn't love the look of a properly lifted, black F150? And just because it's a Limited doesn't mean it has to follow the street theme, right? (btw... Limited badges are getting shaved off tomorrow). The XD Badlands have always been a favorite of mine. Plus, they match the rims on my boat trailer! But the 4" lift scares me because I don't want to ruin the Cadillac-like ride I enjoy today.
What are your thoughts??
Some pics for your reference...

- 2.5" level kit, 285/55R22 Terra Grapplers (34.3") on stock 22's.
- Rancho 4" kit, 35x12.50R22LT Toyo MT's on 22" XD Badlands

Here is my truck 2012 XTR, screw, 5.0, 3:55, 145"wb,
3" Procomp Level and 2.5" rear block, didn't change the handling or ride
I have BFG Rugged Terrian T/A's LT M&S 275/65/20 -34.1"
The Pireilli's suck big time we have them on our FX4, I took them off my truck soon as I could
and these seem to be the best tire I have ever owned, great in snow slush stopping on ice great in rain and quiet and handle and ride really nice, I recommended these to a few people off here and they love them......got mine from Tire Rack.com

I really try not to suggest what people should do or not do but keeping your upgrades closer to stock creates less of a problem in the long run.
I would suggest option #1 because that's what I pretty much have on my rig.

It sounds like you have pretty much talked yourself into doing it already.
It seems like a waste of money to me. I think the stock wheels look better.
Perhaps I should visit my physician and be tested for testosterone deficiency...or maybe i just haven't been bitten by the "lift a perfectly good truck for no reason" bug yet

Lifts and big tires look great, but for the towing you do, I'd stay stock.

To each their own, at the end of the day it's what makes you the most happy but since you are asking for input, I think the idea of the factory 22"s with toyo mts wrapped around them and a level would look great, keep in mind maybe a little bigger block in the rear for that slick toy on the trailer

Stay as stock as possible. I leveled my truck with 34's and it looks amazing, but I doubt I'd do it again at least until the warranty is up. My level and tires have caused huge issues with warranty on defective OEM equipment.
Get some 285/45/22 Bridgestone Dueler tires to replace your pirellis and call it a day.
