Default Short Antenna

Hi everyone. Does anyone know of/recommend a short replacement antenna for a 2010 F-150? I ordered this one hoping it would work even though it said it was for 97-08, but alas, it did NOT work. So now I'm back where I started. Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I'm working on getting some pics taken and posted of my new truck!

Go to stylintrucks.com they sale billet antennas. I've got one from there, 6" black powdercoat. The company that made mine is called All Sales or All State(something like that). You will need the ford adapter as well, they've got them

This is the one I bought from the seller "Antenna_X". It's a nice piece.

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try to cut my current antenna down, with a backup plan of picking one up from stylintrucks.com.

Default Short Antenna

Here's something similar to what I replaced my "too long" Ford antenna with.

http://www.discountautoantennas.com/...ERANTENNA.html

I got mine at O'Reily Auto Parts for about $5.00.
It came with 5 or so adapters with different threads. You pick and choose until you get the right adapter to fit your car/truck.
It works pretty good, maybe about 80% of what the "too long" antenna will pull in in the fringe reception areas.

Don, thanks for that. I like the idea of a rubber antenna. The billet antennas are cool but it worrys be a little that they have no give to them.

Nothing to cutting it down. Use a crescent wrench or wire stripper to knock the ball off the end. Cut with a dremel. Grind a small bevel in the end that will take the burr off from the cut and help you get the ball back on. Don't go crazy just a little bevel so you can put the ball on the end and it wll stick. Lay a rag on the concrete and drop the antenna (ball end down of course) on the rag a couple times to seat the ball. Use a sharpie to fix any chips in the black finish. Re-install on the truck.
