You might have to go back to feb of 2010 to ask him. :p. I bought a 14 inch stubby antenna from auto zone, 7.99, I havnt noticed any reception loss but then again I am streaming off an iPod 90% of the time.

Ps they only carry 1 brand at autozone, I think it was called raptor but I could be mistaken

Use some pliers and pull the ball off the stock antenna and cut it to the exact length you want, then stick the ball back on

Followed the advice if members in here Sharper4 and madeSicc and just cut mine off, put the ball back on, light coat of black spray paint. Looks great & works same as always and Saved $$$$!!! No longer clips the garage when I enter!!!!

I actually just installed the craven speed stubby on my truck yesterday. I've heard it hurts the radio reception a little, but I never listen to the radio anyway, so who cares. Here's a before/after pic. Looks pretty clean IMO.
