Default Shock upgrade with 6" lift

So I'm running an rcx 6" with bilstein 5100s all the way around. They do well, have pretty decent road manners, and the price was hard to beat. However, I'm looking to do deavers in the rear and the 5100s seem to be a little too short. What are you 6" lift guys running in the rear? I'm trying to get some specs on the bds fox coils and rear 2.0s. Up front I'm looking to do coils and probably Icon uca's. Has anyone ran the fox 2.0 coilovers with a 6" lift utilizing a spacer up front? Also I'm running a 4.5 backspace, will I be ok with the icon uca? Just looking for some options and still keep the 6" height. Not sure if I want to drop the coin on a full length 2.5 upfront as I think a 2.0 coilover would be suffice for my amount of off-roading needs. So basically what I'm looking to do is hybrid the rcx 6" wih fox 2.0 coils & rears with deavers in the rear and icon uca's up front. Is this possible?

Thanks guys.

why not just get the correct length bilsteins? The 5125 series is the universal fitting 5100series shock btw.

If I'm not mistaken I believe most shock mfr's will make them the length you need.

I'm unsure of what specs I'd need to go with. Been trying to find the bds shock specs as a starting point/reference guide.

So are you adding additional lift to the rear? If so, remove the shocks you have. Measure the extended and collapsed lengths then add the additional lift you'll be adding. Theres a good chance the shocks you have now will be long enough unless they are specifically for only 4" lift.

Looking to keep the same height in the rear but the standard 5100s are too short to untilize full travel. Looking to upgrade to a longer 2.0 rear shock, deavers (which add approx 2"), however I want to run less of a block. Plan is to get better ride/travel in the rear while using less of a block to maintain the 6" total lift. I'm running the 4" rcx block now.

If you have correct length bilsteins in the rear already and add deavers but keep your same ride height then they should fit fine. Which deaver pack are you planning on going with? Most of their "off the shelf" packs do not add travel, they are just meant to ride better. The raptor packs and custom lt packs add travel tho.

It would be a custom pack from deaver.

x2, i would get deavers and utilize current shocks until you can verify you'll need longer ones but im thinking the same as above. You should have 12-14" of travel in the rear shock with most applications and i doubt you'll need any further travel than that. You'll more than likely high center before utilizing any further travel.

Any real benefits of going to a 2.0 over the 5100s? With any flex it seemed like the length of the shock limited the articulation of the truck pretty bad. Like I said its mainly a dd but having a slight performance suspension wouldn't hurt. Thanks again
