Service Dept. Loaner Car
So I needed my first oil change and needed some annoying squeaks investigated so I called the dealer I bought the car from to make an appointment and asked if they would have a loaner car for me since I knew they would have the truck all day. I was told they don't have loaner vehicles but I could rent a car myself.
When I had a Tahoe the service dept would always give you a loaner if you called ahead and I figured this to be normal practice for dealerships.
Are loaner cars when yours is getting serviced other than an oil change not normal?

misses 3 on the tree
i got a loaner when my old new truck was problematic within a day from taking delivery.
Other than that I think you are on your own.
Really it is not the dealers fault and Ford doesn't care.

Providing a loner is strictly at the dealers discretion.
Its really about customer service - or lack of.
I never had a loaner until recently. When I just bought my 2014, I needs a few items taken care of as promised when I purchased. The dealer had a Hertz person at the service dept and they got me a car...at their expense.
Great dealer.

Dealer dependent. I've never had a loaner until our Flex needed brake warranty work. Wife took it to dealer and they serviced it before a big trip, she went to leave dealer and brakes failed. I drive up to dealer as she was a wreck. The service department was closed, it was Friday. I told the GM we weren't taking car with kids in it on trip and he gave us a flex to use for the weekend and we picked up car Monday completely fixed.
Long story short was bad new parts and the dealer took care of us which I wrote a nice letter.
