SYNC + iPhone4 = sucks!
900 miles in and I'm still trying to figure out how to get my phone to play nice with Sync. Bluetooth streamed my music great the first time I paired the phone but hasn't worked since. Phone calls pair pretty well but I have had Sync disconnect from my phone out of the blue - connected right back up the next time.
During a long car ride I was curious why my phone wasn't chiming to let me know my email or texts were coming in. Turns out Sync mutes any indicating chimes on my phone for anything other than calls. So a text will come in and I won't know it unless I'm holding my phone to feel it vibrate. Goes back to normal after disconnect.
Everyone already knows it won't display text messages via Bluetooth so no surpise there - just irritating to see a feature and not be able to use it.
I know Microsoft and Apple are mortal enemies but it really sucks when the consumer is stuck in the middle. And yes, both have the latest software updates.

I had a 2011 Jeep before this truck and all the Iphone people were pissed because their phone wouldn't work with the My-Gig radios. Apple does their own thing, part of what makes them popular, just not everyone is going to change their ways to follow them. I heard the Droid works fine :gasp: kidding, I have no idea if it does or not.

Hey Bro... You've got other issues.... Cause I've got the iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3) and my phone works well with SYNC. I can't text on screen but I get all my chimes for text's and email's as well as I use my phone almost elusively for music in truck... Give it sometime and do some research on the SYNC boards.

If you have your radio input set to anything other than your iPhone, you won't here anything but a call. Listen to music off your iPhone on pandora or something similar and your stereo will act just like headphones.
No need to hear any texts while your driving.

I use the USB for my Ipod Touch, because it did not want to work right with the sync, when using Bluetooth with the Droid paired at the same time.

iphone have alot of problems with all manufacture radios because apple only cares about apple.

You want apple, get apple. Just remember, you won't get to play nice withe the majority of other systems out there.
My cheap phone works 100% with SYNC.
Screw Apple.

On a side note, my BB Storm has always been compatible with Sync.
Everthang works just as it's supposed too. Only paired it once and Sync recognizes and understands voice commands better than my BB does.
