SCT tuner question.
I haven't used my SCT tuner in a couple years when I returned my previous truck to stock to trade it in. It's an older unit (circa 2009) as indicated from the pics.
When I first bought my f150 I pm'd someone on this forum (a SCT vendor) if I would be able to use it on my f150 since it was older than the truck.
He assured me as long as the sticker on the back ended or starts with xx I would be able to. It does.
I plugged it into my truck tonight to see if it would work, it did turn on and read my non existent DTC's.
This is where I'm in need of help. I want to use it to change my tire size when they come in in a week or so. Where do I go to change sizes again?
Like I said it's been 2 years since I used it and 7 years since I've had to change the tire size. Do I change rpms/size when I go into "load tune"? This device doesn't have any tunes for this truck, so would I "load stock tune" and change it then?
Would this device recognize my previous truck's stock setup or the new truck's setup? It's not married to any vehicle, like I said the previous truck was returned to stock.

Bump. I wanna keep this towards the top of the section.
I did some searching last night after posting this and my answer might been answered but I'm not sure.

I feel like my newer one didnt give me the tire change option when I had the stock tune put back on for a visit to the dealer. When I loaded the 87 octane tune on it there was more vehicle settings to play with if I recall. To pick tire size you look up the revolutions per mile on the tires you have and pick the closest setting. At least thats how mine is. Its a year old maybe?

Update the tuner

then load a strategy tune ( which is the pre loaded tunes from SCT ) and then adjust for your tire size under user adjustable options.

Franchi how do I delete the old tunes for my old truck? I don't want to run into any problems.

Cant remove any preloaded tunes but you can delete the custom tunes. I always do that with used tuners when I reformat them to make sure that next customer doesn't accidentaly try and use somebody else's custom tunes
