Default SCT Tuner

Just ordered this tuner for my 2012 Ecoboost. I'm excited but also cautious with my expectations. I didn't want the screen so passed on the Livewire. I'll post my experiences in a few days.

It makes a big difference on the ecoboost that's for sure!

Just make sure not to panic when you first start the tuner and it makes the pop like the battery died, its normal don't disconnect it til its done no matter what.

I've always run 87. Which tune should I start with?

I am jealous! I am still in the juggling act of warranty in one hand and mo power in the other.

87 tune will give you a big boost from stock, if you want more power than that go 91 but then your spending $$ on gas for a little extra power.

Now that you got the tuner, get a custom tune from one of the big 3 and make some crazy power. Canned tunes are ok but nothing compared to a custom.

I'll probably hold off on custom until I do intake/exhaust.

Will mpg vary depending on which tune I load?

I know that the aftermarket tuner can give some more horsepower but has anyone documented any increase in gas mileage? The caviate is if you can keep your foot out of it.

I've read lots that (yes once they're done playing) some get 2+ mpg better.
