Default School a nOOB

Hey all! I'm new....just bought a new 2013 F150 XLT

I want to lift it a few inches and put some bigger tires on it.

I dont want anything MASSIVE, as it's my daily driver and Quad hauler!

Any suggestions on how or what I should do?

2-2.5" level and some 33-35" tires

This will be your cheapest route and will look good. I currently have a 2.5" level and 35s-

Your next option would be a 4" suspension lift. This will be more pricey, but it sure looks awesome..

yup^^ cheapest option to get a "lift" and it will still be functional. expect your mpgs to suffer, sometimes substantially

I'll be keeping my stock wheels for when I go on long trips (military and travel home some)

rancho quicklift aint all the way around, bro. it's front only.

mine, after almost 2 years, is about an inch below the rear. not exactly level, but better than stock, and i can throw **** in the back and not have my truck look gay as hell.

It's not a "lift" all the way around, but it's a full kit. 2" front lift and replacement rears.

They offer the front only..

Does getting the rear replacements benefit at all? I know it doesnt "lift" it, but didnt know if replacing the rears helps overall.

Thanks for all the feedback and help!!

rear doesnt lift ****. all it is is different shocks. im running quicklift up front, with stock blocks and shocks.

and the adjustable stuff is cool for a little, then you get tired of adjusting them.

it doesnt "help" anything unless you mean "change the ride" by "help".

id save the $$ and just get the front shocks.

btw i spent roughly $400 before tax for the front shocks from 4wheelparts.

Icon lifts are great and well respected. www.stage3motorsports.com is a great start. The guys are awesome and will work with you. The "ecoboost" lifts will work fine on any f150 http://www.stage3motorsports.com/200...Lift-Kits.html

If you search either this forum or www.ecoboost.net you'll find plenty of pictures and explanations on tires and lifts!

Good luck!

Yes getting the rears will help, you should always run matched shocks with the same damping rates.

I did the bilsteins front and rear. The rears allow up to an extra inch if you add a bigger block. It also changed the ride drastically in the rear from stock. It rides way better and is more controlled.

I installed a Rancho Quick lift on my 2010 last weekend and have Toyo Open Country AT 2's coming this weekend (275 60 20). The front went up 1.5" rears 0. Rancho is made by Monroe and they are having buy 3 get 1 free. Mail in rebate.
