Mine (5 in STX Decor PKG) are plastic or aluminum, my magnet doesn't stick. Sounds plastic though.

STX supercab and they are aluminium. I pulled them off as soon as I got the truck home. I still have them if someone wants them. I can say they are aluminum tubes with plastic end caps.

my wife dented one of mine up before I made the first payment..I have the chromw package too..i cant justify 600 bucks for running boards though
