I order these online. For about 400$. I ended up selling my OEM boards for 200$ so worked out pretty good. These look just like the ones on the Lariat. They drop down and stick out plenty to get a boot on and have rubber like treads for a pretty good grip. I bolted them on in about 1 hour.

Sorry they are manufactured by Lund. I chose black but they also come in a chrome version with black treads.

I have the Raptor Slimline steps and really like them. Price is pretty good too. Check out this thread https://www.f150forum.com/f38/rampag...110168/index2/

I have the Dee Zee NXT steps, they have some adjustability in them so they can stick out more or less, I have them in close and they still do a great job, very grippy too.

I'm one of those "home-made angle iron bracket extension" users. Way, way better than stock. My wife, "grandma" and myself almost killed ourselves a few times slipping on the stock boards setup.

for less than $20, cant beat it...

^ all in here:

some used angle iron, I used flat iron, 1/4" IIRC. I'm far, far from handy, and it took me an hour at the most to buy the stuff, unbolt the running boards, cut / drill the brackets and put it all back together. It pushes the boards out about 2", jsut enough to give you a sure footing.
