Know this has probably been beat to death. I'm looking to put some LED light strips below my door on my crew cab to light the running boards up when the doors are opened or unlocked. Just wondering where to find the hot wire that works the light when the door is opened. I don't have the puddle lights in the mirrors. If any has picture of how to do this or how it will that would be helpful too. Also what would be a good light to use?
i plan to do the same as soon as i can find some ip68 led lights
plan to use these
anyway you want to tap the puple wire inside the green plug in the passangers kick pannel this way they will come on with the dome lights
i used JP's instructions for the foot well lights (post 14)

used the screw that holds the fuse box as ground
