I have run a few and while nice looking, they remain a curio in my view.
I've run one a month since I got the truck last November, and all they say is that everything is fine, as I'd expect for a brand new truck.

I'll be interested to see the first time it tells me something is wrong, if I already knew it from a gauge or light, or observation or noise, etc. If it alerts you to a fault before the fault becomes apparent, then it will be worthwhile in my opinion.

And a tip that is in the fine print in the manual. Do not have the parking brake set when you run the VHR, otherwise it will say there is a problem with your brakes.

My troop had his go off at 4800 miles also. I asked him if he accessed his account to see what it said. He told me it was just a list with either a green or red circle next to each diagnosis. His normal service was red due to him coming up on his 5000 mile mark. If I remember correctly I asked them to set mine up at every 3000. So mine should go off in the next month or so.

I am just amazed that your dealer didn't set it up for you when you purchased the vehicle. When I purchased mine, they had a computer on the showroom floor so the salesman could help you set everything up. My troop said that when he bought his from the same place after seeing mine, each salesman had a laptop to help set up your SYNC account. They will actually sit you down in front of a computer and take you step by step and show you how everything works. After reading all the posts, I now have another reason to brag about my dealer.

Page 40 of the manual:

5. Press OK. Scroll to select from 5000, 7500, or 10000 mile intervals.

When the chosen mileage is reached, SYNC will automatically prompt you and ask if you would like to run a health report. You can then accept and SYNC will send you an e-mail with the information or you can choose to have SYNC remind you later.
