Default Roush exhaust

Well I'm just pushin 500 miles on my truck and ive done
Bedliner
weather techs
ball mount and hitch
tires
keypad
And ordered harley tail lights about 10 minutes ago

But my next mod is going to be Roush Exhaust and wanted to keep my warranty so was wondering-

- How much do you think it will be to have a Roush catback ( 5.0 ) put it by my dealer?

Um having the dealer install a cat back isn't going to help you keep your warranty. Doesn't matter who installs it your warranty will be gone from the cat um back. Just to be clear I am saying your exhaust warranty will be gone. The rest of the truck will be fine.

That's not exactly correct.

Check with your dealership.

Xplain what isn't correct. I have talked with 3 dealers all say the same thing.

Most dealerships will honor the warranty if it's a part that they install. Seems like you found three stingy dealerships so far.

It doesn't matter. The Roush exhaust has a 3 year warranty.

The op said he wanted to keep his warranty on a truck with 500 miles. I assumed he meant factory warranty. Don't matter if the dealer installs the exsaust or not the factory warranty from the cat back is gone. So if the dealer puts there own warranty on it whatever but if they aren't around any other dealer is going to tell you to pound sand with exsaust issues. From the car back of coarse. Not really sure why this would make for stingy dealers.

Thanks for making my point. What difference in warranty does it make to use the dealer for install? Go use your own mechanic go to midas do it in your back yard.

What warrenty are you worrying about.. The one on the truck.. Or the exhaust.

Obviously there will be no exhaust warrenty. Unless that exhaust you put on has a warrenty. And it will probably only cover the parts not labor.

IF you are talking about the truck. The exhaust will not void that warrenty. I drove my truck straight from the dealer to an exhaust shop. My warrenty was never affected. (besides the warrenty on the exhaust itsself and its covored by the exhaust shop.)
