Default Roadkill Carcass Blocker

Here are some pics of my 2012 FX2,5.0,with 3.55 gear
Extang Solid Fold, Black Tail and third brake lights.
Featured is my "Roadkill Carcass Blocker" This is a
20"x6" Expanded metal, black matt painted, mounted in
lower grill with 5/16" bolts and fender washers. 'no drilling'.

You can use any appropriate metal, "mesh type". Just remove
the factory license frame and use existing holes for your "Blocker".
Your truck will not survive a roadkill "racoon or armadilla being
ingested into your radiator area.

Also: i rec my new Extang Solid Fold, i installed and then took it
right off. It had a "Kunckle Fist" mark in the first section near
the window. I packed it back up and got an RMA for return.
otherwise, it was fine. I will post pics later.

Thanks for looking at my stuff. Also, my 3k mileage record for New FX2

That looks like a good idea but what's the likelyhood that that hard metal mesh will become more damaging than a soft carcass in the event of hitting something?

Default Fx2xlt

Here is what i have, Posted before. The FX2 does not come
with a Chrome Grill. I installed a chrome grill because i thought
that it was a little too white up front. The FX2 grill is actually
better looking on most trucks, but not "white" in my opinion.

I may change later but for now i have chrome up front...

Default The open hole

Lenn, the open cowl hole is an invitation to disaster IMHO.
That "chinchy" license plate frame will barely stop a bug at
65mph. I used 1/4" expanded metal, only because i did not
have any 1/2". Radiator and oil cooler parts are easy prey to
road debris if left open. My grill is bolted pretty substaintally
with little chance of coming off. what do you think.......
Also, i removed the thin protective mats from the radiator
area and made patterns, then cut new mats from heavy duty
conveyor belt material, which will withstand my power washer
blasts in the engine area.
