Yes, it is a bit more work for a 2WD, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

There is the tiniest bit of rust on the flat bar where the Road Armor logo goes, so that needs to be touched up. It was a very harsh winter here.

I am looking to get the whole thing Linex-ed, but they are quoting $600, which would probably include sand-blasting and priming the whole thing. If not that, then I'll just spray the bolts when the weather gets a bit better.

Rider, I keep referring back to this post because of its great review of the road armor guard! Thanks! I'm assuming that it is still living up to expectations?! .... I am thinking about finally getting one but am curious on how far the guard sticks out in front of the front of the truck?? I am currently able to keep my truck in the garage, but barely, and would like to keep it in if at all possible. Just trying to check out the specs. Thanks!

Thanks. I'm glad that you found my review useful. I still love the guard. I do need to get it treated because the New England winters are not kind to metal, and there is some rust forming near a few of the weld points. My N-Fab nerf bars are suffering the same indignity.

I'd say that the guard probably adds a foot or so to the front of the truck. This can vary a little depending on mounting angle, but if you push it too far back then you can't open the hood without loosening the mounting bolts.

I hope this helps.
