I did the mod to my truck. I wired it to the reverse light wire in the trailer plug harness. I also use a dremel. I used a center punch to mark the outside corners of the square hole and the mounting bolt holes. I then drilled them with a 1/4 inch drill and connected the holes with the Dremel to cut out the square. I used secuirity head screws and nyloc nuts for mounting to prevent theft.
I used Cree led lights that look identical to the Rigids shown. More than enough light for backing up.
I highly recommend this mod..

i did the same mod to my truck, i used knock off rigids i got on amazon for $23 each. The specs on these were exactly the same as the specs for my actual rigids I have in the front... but after installing, they give lots of light, but do not compare to actual rigids.

I have done the same on my 2014 Screw 6.5 bed. Will post pictures. Well done. I have a switch that allows me to turn them on and off manually. Work great for tailgates as well as backing up.

Danny been awhile since I've seen your truck driving around North Dallas. Looks great. One of the nicest trucks I've seen around

Thanks captain! I have not been in Dallas much, traveling a lot by plane so the truck has been sitting in the garage. I'll break it out for dove season next week.
Hope you and your family are well and thank you for helping keep Dallas safe.
We salute you.
Danny
