review of my truck after a 1200 mile road trip
just got back from my 2 week vacation to myrtle beach. drove my truck down this year and it performed flawlessly. average MPG was 19.5@ 80 which you cant complain about. seats were very comfortable, truck was quiet going down the road, and the AC performed flawlessly even down there on some of the 90 degree days.
overall im very pleased with how my truck did and it rolled over to 12k miles on the drive home. now to clean the 2 weeks and 1200 miles of filth off of the inside and outside haha

It's nice to read that your pleased with the performance of your F150. I hope your truck continues to do wella the only suggestion or advice I can give is, Slow down a bit.
Coincidentally I am currently on a road trip. I'm on the first leg of a 2200 mile trip to visit family and friends. On the first part of my trip I have driven approximately 850 miles and got 22 MPG at 65 MPH in my new 2014 E.B. Limited with only 3200 miles on it. All of my trips are planned so that I don't have to get in a hurry. Of course traveling alone make that much easier.

Great to hear! I as well love taking my F150 on a road trip, I go to Myrtle Beach as well last year I drove from Massachusetts - Myrtle beach and got around 23mpg which was surprising. My favorite part is with the 36 Gallon Gas tank I can get from Massachusetts to the North Carolina border before filling up.

I've used a handful of vehicles on my service and sales routes, and found the F150 that I currently drive to be the best. I'm getting better mileage than my previous v6 $ilverado ever did, and I'm doing 1500-1800 miles every week. I can squeeze 23.5 mpg out of the 5.0 if I drive easy and at speed limits. The big tank helps out a lot too! Sometimes I can get 700+ miles on a tank! Plus when I'm in the corn belt, I do the occasional E85 tank to save a few bucks. But only a few fill ups a month, I don't run it all the time.

Ya'll are getting great gas mileage out of a very comfortable ride in the F150 for a long trip...I haven't taken mine on a real long stretch in around a year, last one I did I was getting 17/17.5 @ around 70 mph.
Slightly off topic I noticed some of you don't have your location set on your profile & doesn't matter....just wondering what your intrigue is about Myrtle Beach? I am relativity close to there around 3 hours and like it quite a bit but we generally go down just a little bit more south to Charleston for the beach. Just curious as to why you go & what keeps bringing you back there. Very popular area indeed.

Great area for sure, glad you like it. First time in I don't know how many years we didn't get to the beach for the summer. Doesn't look like it is going to happen this year unfortunately. Wife really wanted to go to Willamsburg, VA...and we did. Had a good time and nice area but not like going to Myrtle or Charleston.
