Default Reverse Sensor / Module Question 2009 FX4

Hi Guys. I have been a lurker for ages, and thought this would be the best place to ask. The other day, a FX4 followed me home, and my wife said I could keep it. It is a luxury loaded girl, and everything works perfectly except for the the reverse sensing system. I searched here, and already found great info on troubleshooting and I know now which sensor is inop. But, in troubleshooting, my son (slave labor) and I discovered that the sensors never shut off. 3 of the 4 are clicking away, and I sill get the error message.

So I know that I need to replace/troubleshoot at least one of the sensors, but the other click nicely. In fact, they never stop! How long will the module keep them on? Could the module be iffy? I tend to think that the sensor replacement would bring the system back up, but I second guess that purchase if the module is not acting correctly. Back up camera works great.

Try resetting the battery or unplug the bad sensor and plug a good sensor into it and put the bad sensor in the good one you stole from just to see if it's a sensor or if the slot if bad. If it's the slot try checking for for a cut wire. I'm not familiar with the sensors but just throwing things out there

And make sure the wires are all the way inserted from the harness into the sensor

Yep, that I fully understand. I guess I worded it too long and not to the point.

How long will the module leave the sensors on? Seems they click all the time, not only just in reverse.

Hi folks!

I am still hoping someone else will check their sensors. With the key on, and NOT in reverse, are they still clicking?

Or is it just my module is messed up. 3 of the 4 click all the time, even in park.
