You could just switch out the reverse lights to some ultra bright LEDs that would fit in the factory socket

I tried that. Save your money..

I also tried bridging the cargo lights, with LEDs too, to the reverse lights. Looked ccool, worked like poop.

I found these mini blue fog lights on Ebay for about $65.00. I wired them into the reverse lights wiring and they work great.

I have this setup and I would recommend it to everyone. The stock back up lights would barely light up the rocks along the side of my driveway. After installing these lights the whole driveway is lit up. They wire in to the trailer harness either by plugging into the connector (do not recommend) of by hard wiring into the harness. I wired mine in at the top connector for the trailer harness for a clean install by splicing in, soldering and shrink wrapping all connections. They have a multi switch on the unit which allows you to either have them toggled to off, on when truck is put into reverse, or you can toggle them on. So if you are hooking up your trailer you can have the lights.

I will take pictures and post them later.
