If one of you fine gentleman with a 2011 crew cab fx4 5.0 with plus or luxury package with rear cam would lend me your vin to program back up cam and parking assist into my truck i would be very appreciative. I added rear cam and oem parking assist because they couldnt find the truck i wanted, if you dont reprogram rear cam wont zoom or add guidelines to mirror cam functions on 1 mode. Thanks

 

K Buster, just curious why you need another VIN to program your cam? Will your VIN not work?

 

If your truck was not equipped with this option you cannot pmi the module. The bcm needs programmed to a vin with that option the hole network in turn needs to be programmed to that vin or the can network itself will not accept it pcm, abs, bcm, etc. All these modules have to share the same vin to function properly, the beauty of a can network.

 

Just go to a dealership website and pull the vin or autotrader.ca and look up a truck and use that vin. Problem solved

 

Cant pull from a new unsold vehicle not registered in ford oasis data base until its sold i tried that, never occured to me to look on autotrader sorta figured it was to new. Thanks for advice.

 

After some intense brain storming, surfing the net and ford parts catalog i believe i have figured out my problem. I originally purcahsed my camera harness and emblem from ebay all 2011 part nos. I believe i have a late 2010 camera zoom and guideline delete be very carefull when adding to a 2011 the correct camera has zoom and gudeline capabilities. Everything functions correctly delay, on/off but no zoom. Fyi
