Further down it says halogens can dim 20% in the first year of use... Sooo...

It compared stock bulbs at 80% lumens : new 100% lumen bulbs and said they are 30% brighter...

So... That is total bullshavic. So yes they may be brighter, but not actually by 30% based upon the way they were tested.
Hahaha nice observation I never noticed that. By my math that just means the bulbs are only 4% brighter then new oem bulbs.
Just before my retrofits I got some silver stars not sure which exactly. They were actually quite bright compared to what I hsd

I have tried these style bulbs in the past with different car, and yes there is a noticeable difference.

I did the exact same thing before I finally decided to tackle the retros. I purchased Silverstar Ultras, and while they were better than the OEM, they still lacked what I wanted.

Can someone please answer this for me, Iv'e read through the thread and i hear people saying, retrofitting the HID causes problems and its best to go with the Ford OEM Hid housings. is it true? I have a 2011 Limited, Should i go with the 13' OEM Hid's as planned?

If retrofitting HID projectors causes problems, I wouldn't be in business. Either way, your good to go.

yes its true, and its false
let me clarify, retrofitting anything can cause problem oem or not. neither one is less prone to fail. but any good retrofit will out perform oem. Especially if you get the upgraded ballast and bulbs

Good advice / comments from the last two posters. Retrofits also offer you more customization as well making your heads stand out from the bunch.

So if i just use my 2011 housings, do i still need a harness and ballasts or just plug straight in to my factory?

Yep.

Retrofits will outperform OEM HIDs, easy.

It *seems* complicated, but trust me, its not bad at all. No cutting wires, nothing crazy, its all laid out for you.
